Lion Heart Ultra Cross Triathlon

“Lion Heart” is a race that seeks the limitless possibilities of humankind amid the natural riches of the Strandzha mountains and the cultural heritage of Primorsko. This extraordinary challenge provokes us to believe in our superpowers and to surpass our own limits. Inspired by the great feats of the heroes of Strandzha and the epic past of this sacred land, every competitor faced a 3 km open-sea swim, 116 km of mountain biking and a 21 km run over rough terrain. The participants set off in a contest with themselves and wild nature to discover their lion heart. This year again our route passes through the natural landmarks of 4 reserves and past 12 Thracian sanctuaries, among them Begliktash, voted tourist attraction No. 1 in Bulgaria for 2017.
