Award ceremony for the “Youngest Entrepreneur of the City of Plovdiv” for 2017

The competition was organised for the 9th year in a row by the Sport and Youth Activities Directorate, and Plovdiv Municipality is the only municipality in Bulgaria to hold such a contest for business projects by people aged 18 to 33. The award ceremony took place on 26 March 2018 at the Grand Hotel Plovdiv in the presence of members of parliament, district mayors, municipal councillors and guests. The grand prize of 7,000 leva was presented by deputy mayor Georgi Tityukov and Dimitar Kolev, mayor of Zapaden District. Kiril Dimitrov is the winner of Plovdiv Municipality’s “Best Young Entrepreneur” competition for 2017. He impressed the jury with his business plan for developing an electric unmanned aircraft that can fly for 3 to 10 hours, surveying and monitoring large areas. The “Room of Emotions” project by Teodora Pampulova won second prize of 4,000 leva, as well as the special prize - a radio advertisement on the Comunicorp radio network. Her idea is to create a room for children aged 0 to 18 where they can work on mastering strong childhood emotions. The two third places and 2,000 leva each went respectively to Miroslav Garigov for his business plan for a dedicated mobile app for tourists, “Plovdiv Guide”, and to Dimitar Zangarov for developing a company for photo and video shooting with a drone. “Nova Trade” Ltd, following its tradition of supporting innovative solutions, supported the event.
