The “Break Free!” competition challenged Plovdiv’s young people

With attractive games and a concert, Plovdiv marked International Youth Day.

On 12 August, at exactly 6 p.m., the “Break Free!” challenge began, organised by the Plovdiv Regional Information Centre and the National Alliance for Work with Volunteers on the occasion of International Youth Day in Tsar Simeon’s Garden. This year too, the competition under the motto “Break Free” challenged the young people of the city to experience a truly unconventional team contest. Participants aged between 15 and 29, grouped in 15 teams, competed in 15 game challenges. The teams consisted of 2 to 4 people and had 5 minutes for each challenge; according to their performance they received points, which determined the order in which they finished the contest. Dozens of gifts were prepared for the participants - free bungee jumps, team escape games, hammocks and much more. Everyone also received certificates for a worthy performance. The climax of the challenge was the concert by the band Ogi on the open stage next to the Vienna Pavilion. For hydration during the competition and the concert, Nova Trade took care, supporting all the participants with Bachkovo spring water.
