22 March 2023

On the occasion of World Water Day on 22 March 2023, the administrative building of Yuzhen District glowed with the wonderful drawings of the pupils who took part in the drawing competition announced by the mayor, Mr Kostadin Yazov.

Water drops and many hummingbirds smiled out from the children’s drawings.

The theme of the competition, “Let’s Do What We Can”, was linked to the legend of the hummingbird which, although small, decided to help put out a forest fire with the words “I do what I can”.

“If everyone does what they can, we can save water resources from disappearing and protect our planet,” said Mr Yazov, mayor of Yuzhen District.

The prize-winners received certificates for first, second and third place and Bachkovo spring water from the sponsor, “Nova Trade” Ltd, presented by the deputy mayor of the district, Mr Panko Enev.
